EPIC completely revised Michigan law regarding Estate Planning and Probate. This new law allows for estate plans to include provisions for animals. Now animal lovers have the ability to provide for their pets, in the same ways that they can for their human families. Michigan residents can provide for the care of their pets by putting their intentions in their Will or by creating a trust and appointing a trustee. The trustee is required to follow the intentions directed in the trust. These provisions for animals are now enforceable by law.
This new law gives almost limitless options for caring for your pets after you are gone.
